We are a Montana fly fishing and guide school dedicated to teaching our students to be better flyfishers and fly fishing guides. Our classroom is Yellowstone National Park, the Yellowstone River, DePuy spring creek, our private lake and stream, and the rest of the blue ribbon water available in our area. Our fly fishing and guide schools operate out of Hubbard's Yellowstone Lodge, an Orvis endorsed and award winning lodge that we have run for over 20 years.

Learn to be a fly fishing guide at our Orvis endorsed lodge
Our students stay at the lodge and get to see what the "other side" of the business is like. Students eat with the other employees, help with chores, etc. Insight into the life of a fly fishing guide is one of our main goals. And providing a great vacation is important, also.

Spend a week learning and fishing Montana's finest waters
Learn drift boat skills on the Yellowstone River and our private lake; polish your fishing skills while wading Yellowstone Park rivers, our private creek, DePuy's spring creek, and much more. We fish the best water at the best time in order to maximize the teaching opportunities (and fun).

Learn to be a better fly fisher as you learn to guide
We work on entomology, casting, reading water, presentation, etc. - as well as client etiquette, drift boat skills, meal preparation, safety, business tips and everything else we can think of at the time. A good fly fishing guide school understands that improving fishing skills are important. And while we teach, students learn the lesson as well as how to teach the lesson.

Our job placement services help you land a job anywhere in the fishing world
We will teach you interview and resume tips as well as acting as an impartial reference within the industry. We will forward job opening information to you, also. We can't guarantee work for everyone, but good students who make an effort will become guides.

There is no better way to become a fly fishing guide than attending our school.
